In 2012 we have prepared a row of very interesting places, where the exhibitions of the reproductions of paintings by Karel Gott will be held. The first exhibition of the year will within a few days visit the cultural centre of Slovakia, the old-fashioned but also modern city of Bánska Bystrica. The exhibition will start by a festive vernissage on 10th February 2012 and it will last until 24th February 2012 in the spaces of the Hotel LUX.

Bánska Bystrica – the heart of Central Slovakia – is situated in the Zvolen basin, in the valley of the river Hron, between Kremnice and Starohory mountains and Polana. The history of the city has been written since the 13th century. From the former settlement Bystrica – worthily of some Sass colonists, who grounded the industrial-administrative and craft production and also set the grounds of the mining industry. The importance of the settlement has risen that much, so King Belo IV. has promoted the settlement to city in 1255.
