New York 13th September – 22nd September 2009

pozvanka_new_york_2During the concert tour in the USA, an exhibition of reproductions of the paintings by Karel Gott took place in the Bohemia National Hall in New York, and finished first by the last day of Karel Gott´s stay in the metropolis. The exhibition was supported by the companies LR Health&Beauty and Winegrowing Mutěnice, Bohemia National Hall and Czech centre were invited by the tour organizer Zlatá Praha Production - Milly and Jiří Suchánek, the curator of the exhibition was Mgr. Zdeněk Kohák. The fame of the exhibition wake also big response of New York artists circles and a beautiful chocolate lady, Mrs. Naomi Donolstreet, asked for an interview. The exhibition presented 15 certificated reproductions and 3 large-format reproduction, which surprised the visitors in a very pleasant way by the technologic manufacturing, because there was often a discussion whether the paintings are original. An excited applause was estimated also for models in the evening dresses, which have been created with motives of paintings by Karel Gott by the fashion designer Iveta Řádková.

 

Karel Gott has been explaining and answering all the questions at interviews, considering his paintings and the vernissage ended long after midnight. As a present, every visitor could buy unique reproductions of paintings printed on paper, books or selections of CDs and DVDs. Also the certificated reproductions were requested and some of them have been sold before the vernissage was finished. From New York, the exhibition will move to museum of Mělník, which will be opened by a vernissage on the 8th October 2009 and the exhibition will take place from 9th October to 8th November 2009.
